Good product just not happy with the water levels... I do understand its not meant to deep wash but just on normal load it doesn't even wet all the clothes.

It is noisier than my previous washer. There's no place to put liquid detergent or softener. I have to stop it when it changes to a rinse cycle to put softener in. There are no alarms or beeps to tell me where it is in the cycle.

The day we had the washer/dryer combination installed, we had to call the repair man. He spent at least 2 hours tearing the dryer apart to find taps that should have been straight and were bent making the drying make a horrible noise. This should have been caught at GE before it was ever shipped out.
I haven't used the appliance enought to have an opinion for the star review.

Terrible product. 1st purchase discovered the dryer didn't work and we were given a new one. The 2nd one, the dryer's plastic broke into chunks in 13 months. Foolishly bought a 3rd machine only to have the same thing happen with the dryer in 6 months and a smell of something getting too hot! There is an obvious defect and this should be recalled!

Absolutely one of the worst appliance purchases ever. Purchased from Lowes in November 2020 and now 5 years later I may need to replace. Noisy on day one. The wash cycle controls were never accurate resulting in incomplete and low water levels, clothes were often damage during the wash cycle, plastic exterior pieces breaks easily [ie. door handles, interior lining of dryer]

This product only lasted exactly 1 year. The washer started making a grinding/clicking sound when spinning and the dryer started making a sound as if it was grabbing. Factory warranty 1 year is trash.

The quality control on these machines is atrocious. The first one arrived out of the box with a dented back and cabinet that kept the dryer drum from turning at all. At least our store agreed to exchange it for a new one, although that took several weeks. Then on the new one, the dryer made a scraping noise every revolution of the drum. A repairman came out and it turns out that some of the metal parts were made of cheap stamped steel and were a bit bent. They also had burrs from the stamping. The repair man was able to straighten the bent parts and clip off the burrs and now the dryer is working normally.
We use this in a second, upstairs laundry room, and it's well suited to the job.

I've only had my GE washer/dryer one piece unit (GUD27EESNWW) for about a month. Too many other models in the market had too many computerized features like wi-fi, etc., and multiple filters that needed maintenance. This GE model was similar in low maintenance to the Kenmore. But unlike my old Kenmore it has no agitator, hence a larger tub. Its pluses include the feature that automatically determine the amount of water depending on the size of load. Also, if not using the manual timed drying times, it also automatically determines whether clothes are dry depending on whether one chose, "Less Dry", "More Dry", etc. On the minus side, it is a very loud unit, the washer especially. When it is in the washing mode it is the loudest with a grinding type sound. The other cycles are less loud but in general I have to raise the volume of the TV in the nearby room when doing laundry.

The washer has to be the noisiest washer I've ever owned.
Then if the wash load gets off balance while spinning you have to turn the washer off to get the lid unlocked to balance out the load. Then it starts the
wash cycle over.
The washer and dryer are bigger than I thought they'd be which is nice.
The dryer gets real hot on the outside.

possible to hold more but the clothes do not get wet and what little water is used does not rinse the clothes. ex: put in 3 pairs of leggings, they stay soapy and have to run thru another cycle. shakes bad, need to stop and move things around to get the shaking to slow down a bit. the dryer ring is unstable and moveable. whoever assembled and the inspector should be written up. this is the 2nd unit i have received. the first one had a pin loose on the drum, massive shaking. these units have been junk so far. if i can get a repair person out....

Great capacity. I love the"Bulky Items" setting. We can wash our throw rugs with ease.
Some people complain about noise. If it's quieter than the appliances that it replaced, but it does have an annoying noise when it is determining how much water to fill for the load. It sounds almost like someone outside the house is trying to start a car with a dying battery. Rrrr, rrrr, rrrr.
Closing the door to the laundry room and turning on any other sound source, Tv, radio etc covers the noise. The dryer sensor work good and does not crisp, it over dry out clothes.

100% cotton tub mat always needs an extra 30 to dry. Denim shorts need extra 30 to dry, seams always damp. One ordinary casual top was damp, needed 30 extra minutes to dry. The dryer is considered energy saver, but needing an extra 30 minutes makes me wonder. My 32 year old Maytag was never a problem.

The dryer leaves black marks on thinner linens like pillow cases and sheets. We have spent hundreds of dollars replacing linen for our rental unit. It has done this from day one. Technician has come out twice. I was told it was in design that leaves a gap and thinner items get marks from going between the gap. The black marks persist. The washer is great, larger capacity. Wish I would have known i would never have purchased this unit.

I like the washer/ dryer combination aspect. However, I am not totally satisfied with the washer. Unfortunately, the liquid soap collected on the clothes. I then started to put the soap in & let it begin agitating before I opened it up & added the clothes. This takes time away from me. I would also like it to add more water to wash the clothes. Is there a way that more water can fill up before starting to wash the clothes?

I got this to replace my old GE stackable washer dryer that departed this world at the age of 26 years old. This new one has a lot more useful control settings, and the lack of an agitator, which took a little getting used to, is great for washing larger bulkier items. The spin cycle is extremely powerful and although a bit loud and high-pitched (during my first use I thought a GE 747 Turbofan jet engine was spooling up for takeoff in my utility closet), it does a fantastic job of extracting nearly all moisture from washed items.
The dryer does a good job, I only wish the E-dry functionality was a little easier to use™" I find it sometimes tricky to confirm that E-dry is switched on because of the multitude of different dryer settings detailed around the dryer knob, and then when I use it, it™™s never ended the dry cycle with the clothes completely dry (I always have to have it run again using a normal timed dry cycle for another few more minutes).

The lid locking mechanism on the washing machine continues to malfunction. Have had it repaired three times. Cheap material, shoddy construction. This needs to be part of a class action suit for which I am contacting a national class action attorney.

The washer does work however the force of the dryer is so light up top it rocks back-and-forth very much when you have even a medium size load in. The worst part is the dryer handle, which has snapped off and made it very difficult to open the door. All the rocking back-and-forth makes me think eventually something inside the mechanics may be affected. We have had this for about three years now.

Third review attempt. Let's all hope GE allows an honest review to be published! Day one washer motor is straining and making grinding noise. It then stops during cycle . Day three dryer no.linger even comes on. Electric noises coming from panel is all we get. We were told GE has no repairmen in our area to give them time to find someone. Home Depot is coming to pick it up this Monday .

This is hands down the worst washer and dryer I have ever used in my entire life. Garments don™™t get clean, drying takes at least 3 freaking rounds. The whole thing is small, which is fine, but that means doing laundry more often, but because this thing can™™t do its job that means you are basically pulling the power from an entire substation to run it.

I read many reviews and researched many brands before deciding on this particular set. I am so happy with my choice! This thing is incredibly space saving and actually has a very good sized washer. I love it's simplicity with only a few settings. Also my husband felt more comfortable with GE and fixing it if it should need any repairs in the future. I would have to agree with some of the reviews saying it's not quiet which is not a problem with me but the washer does make noise. One concern I have is the lint trap in the dryer seems to have a week point and I'm concerned with repeated use that it will snap, however if it does break where I think, it shouldn't affect it's use.

This is my 2nd time purchasing a GE unitized washer/dryer. While I love GE and the product features, the motor is so loud on these washers. That™™s why I give 4 stars. Laundry room door needs to be closed or else the noise is disruptive to neighbors!
Aside from the loud motor, I love the compact size while giving full laundry capacity vibes. Perfect for condo owners who are limited on space.

I absolutely LOVE this unit. It is everything I wanted in a washer and dryer.
The clothes get really clean, it spins out most of the moisture and dry time is quick.
The impeller is truly the way to go. I couldn't make a front load it in my space so this was a perfect solution. NO agitator so gentle on clothes

It washes good, but I don't like the fact that I don't have a place to add fabric softener so that it can be used at the appropriate cycle. I've tried the "ball" thing from Downey, but it's made to open at the spin cycle, and since the washer spins at the beginning to calculate amount of cloths, the ball opens and releases the softener at the beginning of the wash, no different than just pouring it in before you close the lid. And there is no option to make the washer stop at the beginning of the rince cycle so that you can add softener. The dryer works well, but the lint trap is hard to get in and out for cleaning.

So far, I've really liked my new washer/dryer. It's quiet and seems quite efficient. The space in the machines is a lot larger than I expected! They only thing I've noticed, is that there seems to be a ton of lint at the vent opening outside--even though I clean the lint trap after each cycle.

Compact, and like that it is a top loader washing machine. However we have had problems with it draining and stopping in the middle of the cycle leaving close in water and having to hand wring them out every load. We have had 3 scheduled appointments with service techs and it will work for 1-2 times then break again. Also no agitator in the washer which I don't recommend
