Small inside, very little shelf space

My husband and I just bought a brand new home and this refrigerator came with it, if i could sell it or exchange it I would, it is incredibly small, not enough shelf space, the length to fit anything inside in the shelf is 12" at most its very small. I would not recommend.

Inefficient and Underwhelming

This was the only refrigerator the builder would give me. I did not want a side-by-side because they don™€™t hold much, the freezer side is so narrow, it does not accommodate larger boxes like a frozen pizza box, the shelf options in the refrigerator section are very limited because there is a huge expanse on the top shelf, and the bottom shelf, when I need more shelves for smaller items. I end up having to stack items on top of other products. Finally, the lower refrigerator door panel pockets are narrow in depth, and whatever is in there is hidden by the upper pockets.

GE Refrigerator Issues at Just 2.5 Years

My GE refrigerator started alarming due to a sensor failure at only 2.5 years old. I followed every troubleshooting step, but the issue persisted. When I contacted GE support, they told me I had to pay $119 just for a technician to visit, even though this is a premature failure of an internal sensor component. I was also told there is no extended warranty available in my ZIP code. I expected better support for an appliance this new. Sharing this so others are aware of the repair costs and support limitations

It does an ok job cooling. In some cases too good as it froze my green onions. There are several bins on door. Be careful not to put alot in them or they fall off. Freezer space limited by water and ice maker.

This is an OK refrigerator. The freezer side is greatly reduced by the water & ice makers. Only a small pizza box will fit. On the refrigerator side, the door bins cant hold a lot or they will fall off, taking tneir contents with them. I do appreciate that it runs fairly quiet. Glass shelves are easy to clean. Watch out what you put against the back wall. It froze my green onions. All in all its an ok appliance.

Leaking water and ice dispenser

So far, I found only one issue that is annoying. On a perfectly flat floor, with the front wheels retracted completely, the refrigerator leans too far back. I had to shim the rear wheels to solve the problem. Also, it would be nice to have a front door shelf designed to hold eggs.

Terrible product- Most noisiest Refridgetor

This is one of the nosiest fridge I have owed. I have had many throughout my life. Never has anyone of them have this humming piercing noise. It distrusts my sleep, gives you a headache. I have had the same Technician come out several time just. Please just fix it so that it does not make that noise as the technician says, when its in the defrost mode. If cannot fix, they have replaced some other component. please replace it, its a defect. How much longer would this go on. I did not chose this product, it was picked by the builders, therefore no reviews were read on this. The other GE product chosen by the builders are working fine.

Is a very good appliance. It works. The only reason it gets stars. Lighting inside is awful you can™€™t see the bottom shelf. There is no ™€œcheese drawer™€ so there is no where to put cheese, lunch meat etc. The shelving in the freezer side can barely fit anything- not enough shelves. This unit came with the house we built otherwise I would never waste money on this fridge.

It's not so much the refrigerator as it is the filters. We have had Whirlpool and Kitchen Aide and never had such bad tasting water. It doesn't even remove calcium from the water. Will never buy GE again

Storage space is lacking no meat and cheese drawer and freezer is very limited. Ice maker broke within a couple of years there is a plastic blade that pushes the ice through and one of them broke so it™€™s been super annoying trying to get ice to come out. Looked at buying a replacement and all the reviews on the new model has had the same issue so not bothering spending $170 on a replacement. Will have to deal with the ice issue til we replace the fridge all together. Wouldn™€™t recommend.

The oversized ice maker restricts what feels like 1/4 and 1/3 of the freezer space. There is loss of shelving in the door for the dispenser. Cant recommend for a family that preps and freezes and/or buys a lot of frozen items
