Delivered defective oven

I ordered this oven direct from GE and it was delivered and installed today, hauling away my prior oven. It turned on and began heating, so I signed off on install, but when I attempted to actually cook with it, it stopped preheating after getting to about 375 and gave error F350. Customer service is telling me I will need to wait a week for either a technician or a replacement, leaving me with nothing until then. I'll update if they are able to resolve this issue, but as of now, I am very dissatisfied.

Camera does not work. Will not display on app. Timer is impossible to read because background graffiti interferes. There is no option to change the background graphics, so you™€™re stuck. Every time it completes a task it has to play a long melody. It™€™s quite annoying and cannot be changed to a simple beep. Put your software guys to work and give us options. Very disappointing.

Screen freezes often, rendering oven useless

Oven has a few nice features, however its buggy software makes it dangerous. The touch screen freezes often. Twice it has frozen while baking and the only way to turn off the oven is to cut power at the breaker. Other times it has frozen during cooking, the oven stopped heating, messing up the food by undercooking or making the user think it needs more time. Then rebooting to burn the food. Several times it has rebooted while cooking. The camera is a nice feature, but it connects through the cloud instead of directly with oven. Even with reliable connection to the cloud, enabling the camera fails half the time. The app is a pain to use with adds and slow response.

One of the reasons for picking this oven on our kitchen remodel was because it has a camera in it. It is supposed to help in monitoring your food as it's cooking. the GE app that lets you utilize that camera for the oven is not updated for that camera. So, instead of saving the $400.00 for the same oven with no camera, I paid the extra for the camera and still can't use it... I think that's wrong. Other features and the oven itself works great. GE needs to get their crap together...

We™€™ve been loyal to GE and have a full suite of their appliances in our kitchen ™€" our GE microwave and dishwasher work great with no issues. Unfortunately, the same can™€™t be said for their wall ovens. We ordered the PTS9000SNSS and PTS7000SNSS models, and after four separate attempts through two different vendors, every single unit arrived with problems ™€" physical defects. The build quality is shockingly poor, especially for high-end models from a trusted brand. What made this worse was the slow and unreliable delivery each time. We were repeatedly delayed, only to receive an oven that still wasn™€™t right. Unfortunately, since all our other appliances are GE and designed to match, we™€™re now stuck with this subpar product. GE seriously needs to step up its quality control and manufacturing standards, especially for premium appliances. Very disappointed.

It could be larger but we sacrificed space to get the one that would fit without remodeling and to have perks like the camera. So far we haven™€™t had any baking disasters. This looks like a great oven but the software is totally broken. My barely two year old oven has gotten stuck in a software update loop. The WiFi no longer works and now the oven is completely unusable. It restarts every minute. Big mistake buying a smart oven with no physical buttons. The repair bill will be half of what I paid for the oven. Think hard before buying this oven because the quality just isn't there.

My last GE profile oven lasted me 20 years. I was hoping that this one would slide right in to the existing space, which according to specs, it was exactly the same size as my old, but alas we did have to do some carpentry to get it to fit properly. I love the clean lines. Learning to use the interface (and camera, etc) was easy, which showed that my concerns of "too much advanced technology" was unfounded. I love the easy glide of the shelves. Lighting inside is nice an bright. Heats up quickly, especially the broil feature. I've only been using it a month now, but I am happy!

Great replacement for old GE Profile

So far so good, just replaced ours with this new one about 4 weeks ago. Not enough time to use all the new features but have used it many times already. I like the look and very easy to use. I'll review again in the next 2-3 months. This was to replace our old profile oven. Very easy. Fit the same opening. A bit tighter fit front to back. But even with just my wife and I we managed to install with little problem.

Love it except - I baked 2 sweet potatoes for 90 minutes at 350 convection and they were not fully cooked at the end. I am trying again today on bake at 350. I love ability to turn oven on with wi-fi if I buy a pizza (like Papa Murphys) to bring home & cook. Enjoy the camera, but it us not a necessity. Real test of oven is if it cleans with steam (which most really don't). I find the high temp electric clean preferable (if I end up having to use Oven Off with the steam clean, I will not be a happy camper)!

quiet and the features actually work

So far so good, I just had this oven installed and I'm very impressed. The oven is SO quiet compared to the 10-year-old Whirlpool it replaced. Even the convection and air fry settings are very quiet. So far the one downside has been the powder coating on the oven and oven racks is so thick that it's hard to change the positions of the racks and it feels like you're going to scratch the oven. So far the best feature has actually been the air fry setting. I'm actually impressed. It works so well. The air fryer mode heats up the oven quickly and it's much quieter than my counter knob air fryer. I went in thinking I would never use it but actually prefer it over my countertop air fryer. I have tried one of these smart cooking settings baking some sweet potatoes, and they came out great. I would definitely recommend the oven. The verdict is still out for the GE Smart HQ app

I was debating between this and a high-end brand (including the Cafe/Monogram versions). I am glad I chose this model to replace both of our broken dumb ovens. The electronic interface is fantastic, especially the synchronization with the app and the color screens. It is subtle enough to look classy but also very informative yet intuitive. I love the camera view on the app as it isn't always easy to go check on the food from the yard. So far, we love this oven!

After almost 2 years, we do love the oven look and all the options on the wall oven, but be aware it takes a long time to preheat. You need to plan ahead. We did have a motherboard failure early on that was replaced and we™€™ve had techs out a couple of times because it is so slow to preheat but they say nothing is wrong with it. It™€™s just how it works because the heating elements are hidden. It is sort of a family joke for us now, we have to give ourselves a good hour before we want to start the bake time, if your baking temp is more than 350. It takes a good 30 minutes to get to 350.

It™€™s a decent oven but takes some getting used to. Don™€™t love how clunky it is to move/adjust shelves. The timer is not very loud which is nice except when I don™€™t hear it. So far the texts to my phone are the only way I know the timer went off. It™€™s so quiet which I like but have to adjust to. Can™€™t tell when it™€™s on or if I remembered to shut it off. The app doesn™€™t work all the time. Does not come with instructions and I haven™€™t had time to go search online. I prefer a paper manual to flip through and make notes where needed. Didn™€™t love the price but we were very limited in what would fit in place of our builder installed whirlpool under a cooktop. Other option was to cut out the counter to fit a slide in which we didn™€™t want to do.

We've had this oven for several months now and it's been great. The temperature appears accurate and even, and the convection seems strong and dispersed. The app integration is *fantastic*, giving complete, precise control from anywhere (with internet), including a live video feed. My one quibble is that the video isn't the clearest, and doesn't give a full view of the entire oven. But, it's infinitely better than no camera! I do wish the oven had a water reservoir for providing moisture while cooking, but this is easy to 'fake' with a tray at the bottom that you squirt water into while cooking. Overall it's a great oven and we highly recommend it.

Love everything about this oven. The roll out oven racks are so much easier than the old pull out racks. The proofing/baking/roasting all work well. Set up screen took a little work, but I wish I had this oven years ago. There is so much more room in this oven as well. I have customer cookie sheets and they fit perfectly.

Pretty happy with this purchase. The no preheat air fry is pretty awesome. The camera is pretty cool as well. I like how the outside of the oven stays cool even when it™€™s on, as I have young child around. Cooking times are now accurate with this product which is great.

Convection Fan Runs Continuously (24/7)

If I could give this oven a negative star rating, it would be a negative 5 but mostly due to customer service and tech support! The average time waiting just to talk to someone was 30+ minutes! Overall, the oven is nice. It has all the bells and whistles you could want. When I installed it I noticed that the convection fan (the fan in the rear of the oven) was running continuously, even though the oven had not yet been operated. The fan ran at a slow speed 24/7, went to normal operational speed when the convection feature was initiated then went back to low speed afterward and continued at low speed 24/7. I called GE customer service and explained the problem. The customer service representative told me that it was normal for the fan to run. I told her that the fan should not run 24/7. They finally decided to replace the fan. The next fan did the same thing. I talked to the service technician when he came out to install the new fan and he confirmed that the fan should not run continuously. The next option was to replace the internal circuit board. That made the problem even worse! Now all I got on the display was a spinning circle and the oven doesn't work at all! The service tech called GE tech support and they said to replace the user interface panel (the display screen). So now I had to wait another 2 weeks. When the new interface panel was installed the same thing happened - a spinning circle and no operational oven. This time GE tech support said to replace both the circuit board and the user interface panel (the same two parts) TOGETHER, instead of separately. It sounded like tech support was shooting in the dark. Ten days later both of the units were replaced at the same time but now instead of a spinning circle the display message is "Error - Unable to establish client communication" and the oven still doesn't work! GE engineering can't figure out the problem. Now they want to change the circuit board, the user interface panel (again, the same two parts) AND the wiring harness. When will their incessant desire to randomly replace parts end? Previously, I used to work as a mechanic and then as an engineer. If all I did was replace parts I would have been fired! If they really wanted to try to figure out the problem they would give me a new unit and take the oven back to the factory to diagnose it. Don't make me your guinea pig. I paid good money for this oven and I should have a product that works!
